Product Description
The Dirty Pictures is a contemporary art and decor brand offering curated posters, canvases, and prints for modern spaces. The goal was to build an edgy, visually striking e-commerce site that reflects the brand’s artistic flair and bold personality. From product presentation to checkout flow, every detail was designed to feel vibrant, modern, and intuitive.
Iterative Process:
We began with moodboards and competitor audits to align on the visual tone — bold, clean, and gallery-inspired. Wireframes were followed by a dynamic prototype where product layouts, hover effects, and scroll interactions were tested and refined. Client feedback was integrated in multiple cycles to ensure balance between aesthetic appeal and usability.
Creative Process:
The visual identity focused on high-contrast layouts, striking typography, and full-bleed visuals that let the artwork speak. The interface was minimal to keep the attention on the pieces, while micro-animations added life to scrolling and navigation. We also curated the product detail pages to feel like digital art galleries.
Expertise:
We handled design and development of the full storefront, including product categories, cart system, and image optimization. Focus was placed on fast performance, clean responsive design, and mobile-first UX. We also added light CMS tools to let the brand update products, pricing, and categories easily.
Customization:
We built a flexible catalog system that supports different art formats (posters, canvases, framed prints). Custom hover states, quick zoom, and visual size selectors were added for an immersive art-buying experience. The branding, tone, and visuals were all fine-tuned to match the client’s daring and creative voice.
